Kana Tsugihara: Busty Beauty

OK, I recently came across another one of these Japanese gravure model, Kana Tsugihara, who I think is truly spectacular.
Kana was born in 1984, lives in Tokyo, and started modeling in 2003, mostly for swimwear and lingerie companies which isn't surprising since she has an amazing 34F-23-35 figure.
Here's a video of Kana just walking around in a jean skirt and pink lowcut top showing off a bit of cleavage. She also burns some incense (I guess to thank Buddha for blessing her with such immense boobage that people will pay her money to make videos of her just watch her walking around).
At a mere 5'2" tall, her breasts certainly stand out. However, Kana's got more going for her than just her very large, luscious boobies. She's also got a very pretty face with big sexy eyes and her backside looks quite good also.
Kana has also modeled for popular Japanese fashion/lifestyle magazines such as Sabra (kinda like Maxim) and for various advertising campaigns for products such as Xbox 360.
Here's another video of Kana, this time sauntering around in a blue bikini which she fills out extremely nicely.
And here's Kana touching herself (I'd volunteer to be her personal masseuse any day):
There are more of these video clips on YouTube so just search if you haven't yet had enough of Kana.

Sexy Sori's Lips

I have to admit I don't know a huge amount about the Korean music scene, but from what I've seen, there are some super hot looking Korean young women singing and showing off their sexyness in music videos these days. A new one I came across is Sori (소리; 声音) which apparently means sound in Korean.

In addition to her singing, Sori is known for her dancing and was featured in a musical The Ballerina Who Loves a B Boy in the role of a ballerina.

Clearly a gorgeous young lady, Sori should have no problem portraying the sexy image that seems to be required of most Korean entertainers. As a matter of fact, Sori's first album, released earlier this year, is simply titled Lips.

I guess appropriately, the first single from Sori's album is entitled Real Lips. I'm not sure what the follow-up single is, but I can think of some other body parts that I wouldn't mind focusing on as well. Anyway, here's the video of Sori and her lovely lips.

Shu Qi Turns Down Zhang Ziyi

In my opinion, Chinese actress Shu Qi (aka Hsu Chi, Shu Kei, Li Hui Lin, best known to Western audiences for her role in the film The Transporter, is one the most beautiful women in the world. Shu Qi got her start doing nude modeling, then progressed into acting in more mainstream Chinese films and has become one of Asia's top stars.
Despite her apparent comfort with nudity in her early career (see photos below), Shu Qi (舒淇)  recently turned down an offer offer to star in a movie production of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (雪花与秘扇), based on a novel by Chinese-American author Lisa See
The film is to be produced by a group including Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi (章子怡 ), the wife of media mogul Rupert Murdoch and the wife of MGM's chairman and will be directed by Chinese-American Wayne Wang (Joy Luck Club). Shooting is to begin in early 2010 in China.
Somewhat surprisingly, Shu Qi's reported reason for turning down the role was that it includes a nude scene. Shu Qi was to play the character of Snow Flower who forms a lifelong friendship Zhang Ziyi's character, Lily, and the story contains a scene showing both characters nude, writing on each other's chests in a secret script (Nu Shu) developed by a group of Chinese women.
Here's a couple views of Shu Qi when she was less reluctant to show off her very lovely body.
While its certainly commendable that Shu Qi has gone from nude modeling to eak out a living in her late teens to becoming a talented and popular actress, its a shame that Shu turned down what could have been a great role in what will be a very well-produced and heavily promoted international film. Her decision may also have to do with the facxt that she doesn't speak English very well which might have been difficult since the role may require considerable dialog.

Ironically, Shu Qi's and Zhang Ziyi's careers have crossed paths before when Shu Qi (or her manager) turned down a role in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon so she could film a commercial in Japan. Meanwhile, the critically acclaimed and commercial successful Crouching Tiger made Zhang an international star.

Zhang is reportedly disappointed with Shu Qi's decision and is looking for someone else to play her co-nude role. Internet speculation has suggested replacements including other Chinese superstar actreeses Fan Bingbing (范冰冰), Zhou Xun (周迅), Gong Li (巩俐), Maggie Cheung(张曼玉) and Li Bingbing (李冰冰) as well as lesser knowns Ruby Lin (林心如) and Tang Wei湯唯), famous for her nude scenes in Ang Lee's Lust, Caution). Any one of these beautiful ladies certainly wouldn't be bad, but its hard to match the sexual appeal of a Zhang Ziyi/Shu Qi dynamic bare-chested calligraphy duo.

Miss Asia - China 2009

The lovely Xu Ying (许莹) was the recent winner of the 2009 Miss Asia China beauty pageant, held in Dongguan, China.

Xu Ying is 21 year old and a dance instructor from Anhui, China. As the winner, she receives prizes worth over HK$2 million (RM889,300) and a contract with Asia Television Limited (ATV), the pageant's sponsor.

1st and 2nd runners up,Wang Zifei (王紫菲- #3) and Wang Jinjin (王津津 - #4) are pictured above with Xu Ying.

The competition, televised in Hong Kong, got a bit of criticism for "promoting flesh" to boost its ratings. The show's organizers apparently had the 12 finalists wear "see-through angel costumes" to help draw its TV audience which was said to be over 850,000 viewers (can't blame them - I'd like to watch pretty Chinese "see-through angels too!).

The pageant is sponsored by Asia Television Limited and has been held annually since 1985. Until 2004, it was an exclusively Hong Kong event, but has since opened to contestants from all parts of Asia. There is no age limit for contestants and in 1995, the winner was 48 year old Gong Xuehua. Chinese women can certainly look younger than their age.

Cristine Reyes: Beautiful Typhoon Victim

Cristine Reyes (Ara Cristine Pascual Reyes) is a Filipina actress born in 1989. Cristine was a contestants on a reality talent show called StarStruck. Although she was eliminated from the show fairly early, her appearance sparked enough interest that she began getting some offers from film and TV producers.

Cristine was one of many people in the Philippines that suffered from recent typhoons. She was reportedly trapped on the roofof her home during tropical storm “Ondoy” which wreaked havoc in the Metro Manila area. In a phone interview with ABS-CBN News, Cristine tearfully appealed for rescue teams to send help and said that the flood had reached the second floor of her family's house, forcing them to the roof. Fortunately, Cristine was later rescued by Richard Gutierrez, a Filipino-American actor co-stars with her in a movie called Patient X. I'm just a bit jealous that I wasn't there to be the rescuing hero.
Here's a new clip about Cristine's rescue

Thankfully, Cristine was rescued and will likely be ok. However many Filipinos are not anywhere near as fortunate since a very large percentage are very poor and have no insurance. If you'd like to help some of the less fortunate victims of the recent typhoons in the Philippines, here are some charity organizations that accept contributions by credit card and Paypal:

Cristine has appeared in quite a few Filipino films and TV shows, including Beautiful Life, Pa-Siyam, Mourning Girls, and Barang.

Cristine is the younger sister of Ara Mina, another popular actress (as well as a singer and model) in the Philippines. Cristine has reportedly asked her big sis for advice on filming sexy love scenes. I hope Ara told Cristine to give it her all and go for as much realism as possible.
Here's a video clip showing Cristine in some sexy film scenes

Cristine is apparently not surprisingly quite popular among the Filipino celebrity dating circles, having been linked to Mark Herras, Anton dela Paz, Mark Lapid, Joross Gamboa, Jake Cuenca, Dennis Trillo and others.I don't know who any of these guys are, but if the rumors are true, young Cristine has quite an active social life.

Among her many modeling jobs, Cristine has been featured twice in FHM Philippines, and is on the cover of the September 2009 edition.

Here's a short video clip from Cristine's FHM photo shoot

Tang Wei: Back Fom Ban

Tang Wei (湯唯) is a Chinese actress who made her controversial debut in Lust, Caution, a Chinese film directed by Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Brokeback Mountain). The espionage thriller takes place in Shanghai during the WWII period Japanese invasion of China. Tang played the role of Wong Chia Chi, an acting student who takes on a real-life role to seduce and set up for assassination a collaborator with the Japanese. For her debut role, Tang We won a Golden Horse award for Best New Performer.

Lust Caution features some pretty explicit sex scenes between Tang and her male co-star played by veteran actor Tony Leung Chiu-Wai.

The Chinese government censorship authorities apparently thought the sex scenes were too explicit (or maybe they were concerned with some of the political content of the film). To be allowed to have the film shown in Chinese theaters, director Ang Lee edited the film although the unedited version is available outside mainland China (I imagine its also available in pirated DVDs in China). After the film was released, China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television banned media outlets in China from showing anything featuring Tang Wei.  According to the Hollywood Reporter, the ban said that "All television programs, including news, features, entertainment, advertising and live broadcasts, must not cover Tang Wei or stir up issues related to her from now on."

Here's a trailer video for Lust Caution:

Since Lust Caution was released in 2007, prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, it seems to me that the Chinese government may have been trying to crack down on anything controversial that could possibly tarnish the clean Olympic image China wished to convey. Tang Wei was an unfortunate scapegoat, with her Pond's skincare commercial promptly taken off the air and her role in a big-budget historical film, The Warrior and the Wolf, lost (and filled by actress Maggie Q).

The ban certainly stalled Tang Wei's promising career, but hopefully has not ended it. Tang seems to have made the best of the situation by taking acting and English language classes in London. In late 2008, she applied for a Hong Kong passport. Although Hong Kong is part of China, it is largely self-governing and is also an Asian film industry center. Tang Wei recently appeared in Beijing for the first time since her ban at a fashion show (other Chinese actreeses included the gorgeous Shu Qi and Maggie Cheung). She is also supposed to be starring in a new film, Crossing Hennessy.

Legally Blonde in Korea

I guess to some extent everyone wants what they don't have which might explain why a lot of Asian woman want to be blonde. While I much prefer their natural hair color, some Korean actresses have a good excuse to try the blonde look since they're appearing in a Korean musical version of the hit Hollywood film, Legally Blonde.

The South Korean Legally Blonde musical is set to begin in November and is full of Korean stars. Dingy blonde lead character, Elle Woods is played by Jessica (Jessica Jung; 제시카 정) of the popular Girls Generation (소녀시대) pop group.  Some of Elle's sorority sisters are played by Kim Ji Woo (김지우) and the lovely Honey Lee (이하늬;Lee Ha-nui), 2007 Miss Korea. This is a bit confusing since some articles say that the three actresses will alternate in the starring Elle Woods role.

While I prefer that beautiful Korean women keep it natural and stick to looking Korean, I have to admit that these girls don't look bad as blondes.

Harumi Nemoto: Busty Gravure Idol

arumi Nemoto is one of the most popular gravure idols idols in Japan. Harumi has been featured in many DVDs and photo books since her modeling career began in 2001.

Harumi reportedly got her start modeling when she wrote a letter to the president of the Yellow Cab talent agency in Japan asking to be made a star. He was impressed with her body (hhmm, I wonder what caught his eye) and quickly signed her to a contract.

Harumi is obviously quite generously endowed with a very large pair of natural breasts which have played a major role in her popularity.

If you like what you see, you can join Harumi's Facebook fan club for more. You can also check her out in the video below - posing for photos in a boxing ring with another busty beauty, Yoko Matsugane.

Sassy Jeon Ji Hyun (Gianna Sun)

Jun Ji-hyun (전지현; aka Jeon Ji-hyeo, Gianna Sun) is a very popular South Korean actress, best known for her role in the Korean film My SassyGirl. Born is Seoul, Jun went to Dongguk University where she studied acting. She started working as a fashion model when she was 16 years old and then got some roles on Korean TV shows.

Jun began her film career in 1999 with White Valentine, followed by the popular Il Mare in 2000 (which was remade in Hollywood as The Lake House with Sandra Bullock).

Jun's best role was in the 2001 film My Sassy Girl, a romantic comedy in which Jun plays a drunk girl on a train. A guy helps her out which ends up getting him into all kinds of trouble, but of course its all worth for such a beautiful woman. Jun displays great presence in this role and its hard not to fall for her crazy chick character. My Sassy Girl was hugely popular throughout Asia and was remade in a Hollywood version in 2008 starring Elisha Cuthbert.
Other Korean film roles include Windstruck, a fantasy, romantic comedy (Jun plays a cop who mistakenly arrests a shy high school teacher, who of course is quickly enamored), Daisy, and A Man Who Was Superman (Jun plays a chainsmoking, documentary filmmaker who falls in love with a mentally challenged man who thinks he's Superman).

Recently, Jeon appeared in an English-language film, Blood: The Last Vampire under the name Gianna Jun. This is a different role for Jeon (or Gianna) since its a vampire, swordplay film. Here's a promotional video from the film with some action and interview footage. Her English is quite good and she looks sexy even slicing people in swordfighting scenes.

There's been a little bit of controversy about Jeon in Korea since Jeon has a Chinese father, originally from Taiwan. Jun is also sometimes known by her Chinese surname name "Wang" Ji-hyeon. Personally, I have no problem with the mix of Korean and Chinese and it certainly turned out quite well for Jeon (I actually there is a slight resemblence to stunningly beautiful Chinese actress Shu Qi).

Finally, here's a video clip of an tea advertisement. Now I like tea, but if drinking it was as sexy as this commercial makes it look, I'd never drink anything else!

Eva Huang Shengyi

Eva Huang Shengyi, 黄圣依 (aka Eva Huang or Eva Wong) is a beautiful young Chinese actress and singer. She was born in Shanghai on February 11, 1983. She studied acting and graduated from the Beijing Film Academy in 2001.

In 2004, she landed her first film role playing the part of Fong, a mute girl in in Kung Fu Hustle directed by and staaring Stephen Chow. Eva also signed to Chow's company, but ended up in a legal battle after she did a magazine photo shoot without her agency's involvement, breaching her contract. Eva claimed she was misled into signing the contract and Chow's company wasn't doing a good enough job of getting her jobs.

The lawsuit received a lot of publicity in China and by fighting it, she may have been risking her career since Chow is one of the most commercially succesful film producers in China and big talent companies usually have much more power than the actors they represent. The case was ultimately settled in 2007 and it was reported that she had to pay 6 million RMB (U.S. $1-1.5 million) although Eva denied this. Regardless, her popularity continued to increase as she appeared in other films such as Chinese comedy Call for Love and TV dramas.

Eva also got a record contract and released her self-titled album in 2007. Here's one of her music videos.

Not shying from being a bit independent and slightly controversial on ocassion, Eva also posed for the September 2008 issue of Maxim China. Although in itself, no big deal, the cover shot (below) shows Eva nude although covered up. This caused a bit of a stir in Chinese blogs since Chinese celebrities tend to portray fairly conservative images. Personally, I'm not at all offended by a beautiful woman posing nude if she chooses to do so and I wouldn't mind seeing more of Eva as I'm sure many other men would.

Finally, here's a Chinese beer commercial with Eva Huang which seems a bit more like a Zhang Yimou film than a typical beer commercial.
